Hello, this is Guyokai - the creator of Sky Talk. I want to apologize in advance. Unfortunately, the time has come for the podcast to end. Ever since I started the podcast in January, my ambitions were too high. I advertised it everywhere, on Google, Discord servers, Instagram, anywhere I could find to get the name out!
The response to that actually was worth it. I got a LOT of more listeners than I really thought I was going to get. I was in awe. This alone made me want to continue working on new episodes.
However, come the end of Season of Abyss around March, something felt off. For me, personally. As time went on without making a new episode, it was all I could think about. Every weekend my mind kept saying, "You have to make a new episode, you have to make a new episode". It was bothersome. And when I didn't make a new episode, I felt like I let people down.
There's no excuse not to make a new episode considering a LOT has happened in Sky since. The new season just started yesterday. There's a new traveling spirit this Thursday. The UI of the constellations has changed. So on.
However the true reason why there won't be a new episode is that I've decided to end the podcast indefinitely. As I've stated on Instagram, I don't have the time or energy to continue on. Despite positive reception of listeners when I debuted the podcast, I don't feel I could top that. If I made a new episode, who would still be listening? Do people remember Sky Talk? I'm not sure and I don't want to waste any time if people aren't going to listen.
There are a BUNCH of other sources for Sky news and content - and with the followers to prove. Just look on Instagram and YouTube. You'll find what you need there.
Along with Sky Talk ending, I've also decided to end the Discord as well.
Maybe in the future Sky Talk will come back? Possibly? Anything is possible. I just know at this time, this moment, I absolutely cannot continue. I don't want the responsibility of hosting a podcast alone.
It's too much for one guy. Things might be different if I had some help.
Anyway, I hope you understand. Again, I apologize about ending Sky Talk - to those who were looking forward to the next episode. You can still follow me on Instagram as I post regularly on there with Sky pictures, etc.
So, for now, for the foreseeable future. This is the end of Sky Talk. Thank you to those who've listened and left reviews, etc. It really was a fun experience.
Thank you (and until next time),
